Shock absorbers

Post by NewMk7 »

Not sure if this is just a fiesta trait, but I've been driving over a few....rough....road recently and noticed that my car makes a hell of a noise when going over small holes etc and it feels pretty rough as well. Normal driving over speed bumps etc feels fine which makes me think its the shocks not the whole suspension. But if I'm honest I have no idea.
Does anyone think it's worth just taking to a garage and getting it checked? And if it is the shocks are they cheap/easy(ish) to replace? or is it definitely a garage job?
Thanks

It's allways worth getting it checked if you are unsure.

Does it make any knocking noises at all?

If you can get it up on a jack, remove each wheel and check for play in ball joints, check that the shock absorbers are not leaking.

If not pop into a garage ;)
