Hid causing ipod to disconnect

Hi. I recently got some hid's however upon fitting them i noticked they were slightly different colours, one side was giving a 5000k colour whilst the other a 6000k colour. Could this be due to one headlight not being an original ford therefore giving a slightly different power output its a hella one from eurocarparts. Another issue when i flick the lights on or off the ipod disconnects and reconnects has anyone else had issues with hid's

The colour given out by the lights is down the bulb/ballast unit. The lamp unit itself wouldn't effect the colour.

As for issue when turning lights on and off, not to sure tbh.
