Indicator stalk replacement

Hello everyone! This is my first post and I feel kinda guilty using it to ask for help but…

I don't know how to change the indicator stalk in my Fiesta. I've tried searching for it, and short of buying a Haynes manual (would that help?) I haven't been able to find how to do it. The best I could find is "I might have to remove the steering wheel". Has anyone done it before that could advise? (Or even if you haven't done it before…)
