airbag passenger remove

Hello everyone,

I am French and I can not find an equivalent forum on a French website.

I have a problem with my Fiesta Mk7. I can not find how to turn off the passenger airbag. It is not equipped with the switch in the glove box. All Ford dealers I contacted refused to install the switch. Same with Ford France.

So the question I ask myself is: how myself uninstall the passenger airbag to host a baby seat in the front of the car?

I thought of three options:

-1 °) Remove the airbag fuse

- 2) Disconnect the passenger airbag, probably by removing the glove box, anyone know?

- 3) Disconnect cable to the airbag ECU, ECU but where this is? which cable?

Can anyone help me?

Are they also refusing to disable the passenger airbag?
Before the switches was introduce, people was able to get the dealer disable the passenger airbag.

my reply wont be any help BUT

i dnt have a switch in my 2010 but where the switch should be behind the dash i have a connector can anyone with a fiesta and a N/S airbag please take a picture of the connector to the switch

if this connector is correct Tero521 i may be able to help you fit a switch

I was suggesting to btsero11 that he might get the dealers service department to disable the airbag permanent.
