Ticking/nocking noise when cold start up !!

Hi guys I've got a 1.6 zetec s with the Mountune 155 upgrade, only had it 6 months or so but on a cold start up its very noisey for a few minutes then quietens down. Any ideas ?

Hi, have you ever serviced it?

I would personally start with a oil and filter change, using a good quality oil and filter (genuine ford).

Have you checked the oil level? Pretty much all engines will sound noisy at the start up if the oil level is low until the oil eventually gets pumped up over the cranks etc, could be something as obvious as that
