Anyone heard of this swap being done before? My TDCI would seriously benefit from a 6th gear on the motorway and heard that this engine is the same as the Peugeot 207 and the mini engine? Think they have a 6 speed box fitted. Please correct me if I'm wrong!!!

Yes, the 1.6 tdci engine (aka PSA, DV6ATED, and more) engine is pretty much the same as whats used in the minis, and pug/citroen.
Not heard of it being done, but anything is possible if you want to make it happen!
Some of the late minis have getrag box fitted which is 6 speed, dont know if the minis/pugs/citroens have different bellhousing patterns though.
