Hi, therse a lot of info about upgrading performance for the petrol fiesta but as i have the 1.6 TDCI, apart from a remap and a filter im not sure what other mods are available to get more hp. the 90bhp isnt bad but i think i would be much more comfortable if it had around 120bhp like the petrol.
thoughts? ideas?........

A remap will get you to 115-120

Re: Performance mods for 1.6 Tdci
Thanks for the reply nath, I'm thinking a remap from the local pumaspeed centre, they quoted me £300 which seems pretty steep. are they trustworthy to be remapping my car? lol and will a remap void the warranty because the guy a pumaspeed said that ford will not be able to tell its been remapped.
I'm thinking of just getting it remapped and a k&n filter and I presume that should give me at least 120 bhp and with the torque of the diesel I'm expecting a 0-60 faster than the 120 and maybe 134 petrol version. Am I right?

£300 is around the right price for a "proper" remap. However I hear very mixed opinions on Pumaspeed. Everyone raves about RS Tuning (Leeds) or AMD (Essex)
I definitely think it would give the petrol's a run for their money

Hmm having doubts about puma speed now would you use them to remap yours?
And is it true that a remap won't void the warranty?

Personally I am waiting for Mountune to release a remap. A remap would void the warranty if your dealer were to find out/realise it had one.
