2009 Fiesta Titaniam 1.4 diesel probelm
Hi,
Ive currently had my fiesta for a month now and like it alot, but it seems to have some faults. I was just wondering if anyone else had any of these problems.
When ever you turn the engine off and take the keys there seems to be a humming noise coming from inside, near the digital climate control.
The other problem seems to be a bit more serious. It doesn't do it all the time, but sometimes when in 3rd gear coming upto 2000rpm the car will start to judder like it is miss firing or hitting the rev limiter.

Not sure about thw judder as i've never had that trouble but the buzzing noise is the internal temp sensor, it has an annoying habit of coming loose and resting against the dash

Fantastic find. Will try that on mine.
[edit]
Just done this. Should take 30 mins. The link shows a metal fan/thermistor whereas mine is plastic. It sits in a little clip on the inside of the dash. It's this that's causing the buzzing.
I now have a very nearly silent Festa

Took the car in to Lookers ford and they found the juddering problem.
It seemed to be a blocked fuel filter. They replaced the fuel and air filter and there was also a update for the ECU.
This seems to have sorted out the problem.

Not been on for a while so just throught i would update this.
The car had to keep going back in for the same fault, a total of 4 times and still not fixed.
I eventually got a replacement car 2010 zetec and so far no problems with this one.
