Hi Guys,
i did post this on Rogue Shadows bulb changing guide but had a feeling it wasnt really relating to actually changing standard bulbs over.
im looking at getting 6000k HIDs on my ford fiesta ZS (think 8000k may be laittle too blue, dont fancy the risk of getting pulled) is there a HID kit that can give me the 6000k HID side lights, dipped beam and fog lights all in one kit, or is there a kit for just the dipped beam and fog lights and i just use 6000k hsalogen bulds as side lights? or so i have to have an individual kit for each set of lights?
i have been looking at the HID kits on Demon Tweeks, or would someone recommend another supplier? any links would also be appreciated.
as you can probably tell, im not terribly clued up with all this so a little advice would go a long way
Thanks
Ryan

Help with HID's
You have to buy a get for each set don't worry about side lights or full beam
Use Xenon LEDs for side lights
And a xenon looking halogen for full beam

Re: Help with HID's
I'd be careful saying things like this as yes any aftermarket HID kit fitted to your vehicle, be it in projector or reflector lenses is deemed illegal in the UK and the EU. The only way to make the conversion legal is to have projector style headlights that are specifically marked for the job of being designed for HIDs and are EU approved. You would also need to have automatic levelling and a headlight washer system installed on the vehicle. I have been stopped a couple of times in the UK, normally after coming off the ferries in Weymouth, and given a 14 day notice to get the headlights changed back to standard halogen bulbs. The coppers are catching on quicker than people might imagine, especially with the new use of ANPR being interlinked with classification of build.patterson wrote:I also had 8000k there not illegal so don't worry
Anyway, here in the CI's they are legal without all the EU nonsense of above; and the tickets that the UK coppers give me like the 14 day retification ticket isn't valid once I'm back on the ferry leaving Blightly! Huzzah

I know about the levellers and washer jets but thought it was just MOT
Anyway I live in surrey and the police here are the laziest police going
I have had a slap on the wrist for so many things
Saying that I also drive with my fogs on and never get pulled. I also work in a metropolitan police area which I belive are the strictest police of all and never been pulled by them
