Exhaust backbox
Hi Guys,
i went to see a ford fiesta prior to buying my current one, it had an exhaust which i believe was fitten by the previous owner, however, the fiesta i went for just has the standard twin exhaust exiting just behind the rear diffuser.
i would like an exhaust which fits snugly under my diffuser protruding out from the rear, however, i am not sure what to get. i am not after performance as such, all i want is a nice looking rear end with the addition of an exhaust. i have been looking at this..
http://www.sportex-exhausts.com/Ford-Fi ... roduct/141
I have heard a couple of good things about sportex exhausts but yuou obviously cant hear what they sound like if your buying them online. i dont want anything that sounds proper boy racery, i just want to give my car a little bit more of a rumble. not looking at spending loads of money on a new exhaust system also, just a nice sounding backbox.
any suggestions please guys?
Thanks all

Re: Exhaust backbox
As said, i dont really want to be spending £300 - £400 on a whole new exhaust system, my brother got a back box exhaust on his 1.2 corsa but it sounds a little too boy racer for me

The sportex ones sound chavy to. You didn't specify price that's why I said about them. It's possible they can just supply back box for you

Re: Exhaust backbox
oh really :/ i was hoping there was some kind of high street auto shop you can go in and actually hear what each exhaust sounds like. i have looked at the mountune backbox. found this -
http://www.mountunestore.com/Product/Cat-Back-Exhaust
however, still a little expensive for me! lol, unless there is any cheaper alternative then i guess i better get saving my bucks!

Won't be a shop where you can hear them. That's what YouTube is for. From experience all exhausts are loud but the cheaper are worst sounding. However buy a cheap one and put some baffle in it to lower the sound

Re: Exhaust backbox
may be cheaper to get a powerflow back box made up, would save on buying a full cat-back

Re: Exhaust backbox
i got a power flow back box made up for my 1.25 fiesta and it was really loud, at first i liked it but then thought it was a bit chavy to have a 1.25 sounding like a huge race car
but it was cheap at £190 custom built and fitted and it only took about 40 minutes after my car was put on the ramp
