Enable outside air temp display
Hi,
Has anyone ever upgraded there fiesta to display the outside air temp on the dash display, like zetec models have
I found the connector and got the sensor, plugged it in, but not displaying, do the ford techs need to plug the ford computer in to let the car know it has the sensor? If so does anyone know they need to do? My local dealer will give it a go, no promises
My car is 2009 style+ TDCi 1.4
Thanks

Re: Enable outside air temp display
I spoke to a master tech,
He tells me only way to upgrade is change
Modules, cost over £300..... I don't think so!
There must be a way to get it working

Could you not buy a aftermarket one? I know it will need a seperate screen mounted but if you really want it then its better than £300. Heres a example of what i mean.

Anyone worked out how to do this yet - surely must be able to code it into the clocks somehow?

What dash do you have? Do you have trip computer with instant fuel consumption readouts etc

Yes I've done it for a customer. Requires the temperature sensor buying and installing then me to activate it (along with trip computer, average speed, mpg etc)Supercharged wrote:Anyone worked out how to do this yet - surely must be able to code it into the clocks somehow?

Nath, thanks for that - does this work on any model? this is the 1.25 Style Plus so not sure if the clocks would also need changing?
Where is the connector?

Afraid I couldn't tell you, a customer came to me with the request and I agreed to experimentally attempt the activation which succeeded. I'm not sure which model of Fiesta they had though.Supercharged wrote:Nath, thanks for that - does this work on any model? this is the 1.25 Style Plus so not sure if the clocks would also need changing?
