I can't decide whether to go for coilovers or just put ZS suspension on my car, as i don't want too firm of a ride, but i want mine to handle well since it's not exactly quick down the straights.
Any of you that had ZS susp and then uprated to coils/lowering springs, how much of a difference is there between the 2 regarding comfort and road holding?
Thanks.

Re: ZS Suspension
I'd recommend the eibachs
But I am being biased because that's what I chose. But they're a sixth of the price of coilovers. They are ford approved, which says something to me as Ford tend to build good chasis so why would they approve putting some shoddy springs on their car.
The ride is slightly firmer than the ZS springs. But only a small amount. But they improve the ride a lot! I get barely any body roll now..

Re: ZS Suspension
Alright, thanks.
Any recommendations for uprated shocks? Or have you left those standard?
Was thinking powerflex bushes all round aswell, any idea what they're like?
And also a front upper strut brace.

Re: ZS Suspension
Wouldnt know about updated shocks but the eibachs are fine on the standard shocks
I've got all 3 sets of poweflex bushes on the front. Front wishbone front bush, Front arm rear bush and front anti roll bar bush. Did definitely improve the handling and steering!

Re: ZS Suspension
Will have to try and test as the ZS shocks are prob stiffer than mine. How much did the bushes cost overall and how hard were they to fit?

Re: ZS Suspension
I got them fitted free, as they used my car to test them.
They were using the same ball design for the front arm rear bush they use on other cars but needed to confirm this.
Powerflex Website - Fiesta Mk7
And I dont think the ZS shocks are any different, just shorter stiffer springs

Ah, lucky boy
That link doesn't work but i'll just google them and search. Cheers though.
Really? So it's just the springs are 10mm shorter than standards then?
