This is the website I have been using to find rough pricing. I have found them very competitive!
CamSkill.co.uk
These prices are for 205/40/17
I was originally using Hancook Ventus V12 Evo on my 16" standard Zetec S wheels, these were 195/45/16. I wasn't very impressed with these, awful in the wet and the 'reinforced wall' wasn't very reinforced.
I then went on to a set of UniRoyal RainSport 2, I was very impressed with these, a big step up from the Hancooks and also cheaper.
I then sold those wheels and bought 17s.
On my 17" Streetpack wheels I bought them with 2 Pirelli PZero Nero and 2 Yokohama Parada Spec 2. I tried both on the front and found the Pirelli were better in the wet and the Yokohama were better in the dry.
It's now time to buy some new tyres.. As you can see from the reviews the Kuhmo Ecsta KU39 are top of the list, they are fairly new tyres so have a lot less reviews, but they have replaced the discontinued Kuhmo Ecsta KU31 which also rate very highly. According to reviews the KU39 are a great improvement on the KU31 which from what I know were also very good tyres.
So at £214.36 including delivery, I think I'll be going for the Kuhmo Ecsta KU39 in a couple of weeks
A cheeky refurb and repowdercoating will be done at the same time as well as the first MOT
