Wow, Ben, it looks great!! Sorry about your car getting keyed....some people are just horrible, aren't they? But I have to say, you definitely made the most of the situation and the color job looks great. That's great that you have enough skills to install a push start button too. I wish I had one on mine! :D
I got my Fiesta MK7 thanks to getting an awesome Indianapolis car loan thank goodness!

Looks good ben. Shame about it being keyed.

What is with people now a days? Someone broke into my project car outside my garage, buggered the lock and door. Funny thing is, the other door was left open! Not to mention there was nothing in it.

Yer I really really didn't like the grey, that's why I did mine

I know, it annoys me so much, I just hope they get what they deserve!

Exterior Plastics.

Post by Hurst_13 »

First of all that's one of the best examples of the new Fiesta I've seen! Good job mate!

I've been wanting to get the Grill, diffuser, exterior plastics etc sprayed in Gloss Black for my Red Zetec S. Whats the best way of taking them off? I've only ever took the headlights out.

Cheers

Front lower grill - pull (clips all the way round)

Front grill with badge - take lights out, reach to the middle of it with a small screwdriver to release clips

Fog light surrounds - undo one of the bolts and unclip the surround

Rear diffuser - drill out 2 rivets which are at each end underneath the car, then take out 4 of those annoying plastic clips like the ones for the headlights, then unplug parking sensors, then the rest is on clips

I may have missed out things, but best thing to do is jack the car up so you can see underneath and locate all clips and fixings

Thanks very much!
Don't like the sound of drilling my car, but I do loads at my job so should be ok :)
I'll put the pictures up when I get it all finish.
Can't wait now.
