Hello im new to this forum i own a mk7 fiesta S1600 and i do a few track days i upgraded my breaks using Puma Sport they do a direct replacement set of 300mm front drilled disks and performance pads for £400 fitted the breaks are from a Mazda rx8 with uprated disks the calliper fits 17" wheels and bigger hope that was helpful :-)

Sounds fab :) Wish i had more money to throw at the beast. Iv got my onboard camera working now so might play with that soon. Im waiting on details on Fords new Fiesta ST. "druels" :drool:

no sorry but he is the link to the website they have a few pictures mine is the same set up but with s1600 blue callipers not red :-)

To be fair i thing if u upgraded the standard size disk and pads the breaking would be the same as with the bigger disk,
But because the disks are bigger the heat dissipates quicker so u can break harder for longer with out the breaks feeling spongy
On track u really feel the difference but for every day driving u cant really tell as much as i would have hoped :-)
the only other way is going to stage 3 i think and upgrading the callipers to RX8 Callipers that match the disks but my pockets aint that deep

not really - if you get a bigger disc and moze the caliper to brake on the outer part, you'll get a much better breaking than on a smaller disc... the same is with Focus ST170 rear brakes - they're 280mm with the same calipers/pads as factory 240mm, but using the outer part of the disc - it makes a substancial difference
