i havent had a petrol in a while and the petrol seems more fun to drive, atm i have diesel 1.4 and that is pretty nippy.
I didn't expect the diesel to be as nippy as it was, but i do like the petrol but also thinking of fuel costs etc... i live about 15-20 min journey to the town nearest me.

Re: What Zetec s mk7
I looked at a diesel zs and in the end bought a petrol, the extra costs of the diesel and lack of tuning options did it for me. Currently getting 41mpg on my daily drive to work compared to 26 when I had the ST so I'm a happy bunny LOL

I got the derv n when I say its cheap to run I mean cheap
20quid a year tax
Cheaper to insure for me by 200quid
N never drop below 52mpg
Get 65mpg on a good 60mph run easy
Around 440-550miles to a tank 40litres

Diesel as its been said diesel is more but how much more? £5 per tank you'll save that with the tax and your filling up less due the the brilliant economy I had a petrol ZS (mk6) and it went through the petrol. It's far better as a diesel I'm currently getting 48.9mpg and that's because I'm putting my foot down because I'm late for work lol

Re: What Zetec s mk7
I'm looking at getting the zetec s, but not sure about the petrol or diesel. i now drive 15 miles each way to work on urban roads (max 40mph roads). i prefer the petrol for the acceleration as i have have the fiesta st in the past, but i need to know if i'm likely to get enough of a saving with a diesel version. £20 compared to £120 tax and 67mpg to 49 mpg.
